Just because you are strong enough to carry it, doesn’t mean it’s your responsibility to carry it. Just because you can handle it doesn’t mean you deserve to manage it. The truth is that you have been carrying people’s pain on your back because of your good heart. Just because you are the strong one. I'll tell you this though- there comes a time in your life where that weight becomes too heavy. There comes a time when you are too tired to carry the weight of others. That is when you will realize that when you carry the burden of someone else, you are robbing them and yourself of the opportunity to grow. If it’s not yours, don’t carry it. It’s okay to drop the weight my friend.
You are not strong because of what you can carry. Your worth is not found in what you can do for other people. Your strength and your worth is innate in you because of who you are. Who you are is greatness.
Listen to this- stop chasing people. You’ve been running after the wrong folks for too long and running away from your purpose. When you run to the toxic people in your life because it feels good for the moment, you are robbing yourself of the future you deserve. You are exhausting yourself when you could be energizing yourself with the right people. You could be energizing yourself with the right environments and the right purpose for your life. You’re drained because you are chasing something that God never meant for your life. Your need for the wrong people’s approval will cause you to forever chase down this need for a “perfection” that doesn’t exist. You’ve been waiting for the approval of people who have no say in your life. You can’t chase other people’s loyalty if they have none to give.
You need to know that you are the only one of your kind. You need to hear that you are all that you need to be, but you could be more with the proper focus and drive. You can’t get it from others around you, it has to come from you. So then, why focus on the opinions of those in your life that don’t have a dog in the race? Why give energy, time and thought to the voices that don’t know your life like you do? No amount of followers or likes can make people who don’t love you, love you.
When you stop chasing the wrong people and opportunities, you give yourself time for the right things and the right people to find you. You can attract it or you can keep trying to chase it.
It all starts with you.
