My message to you today is this: Just because you were rejected, just because someone said no, just because you did not get the promotion, does not mean that you still can’t give your greatness to the world. It does not mean that you can’t still improve your life. It does not mean that you still can’t grow your vision, but you have got to work for it because life is full of hardship and ain’t nobody giving handouts.
When things in your life come crashing down it is important to focus the growth on yourself. Do not tell yourself to get over some ex girlfriend or boyfriend of yours. Instead tell yourself that you are going to work on being independent. Do not tell yourself that you are going to show your old boss what he is missing when you get this new job. Instead tell yourself that you are going to find a job that is worth your time. Focus on the you in your goals. Stop making your growth about other people. When there are problems in our lives it is important to break through what is holding us back or else we end up stuck in a miserable situation due to the fact that we are too afraid to move on. In your life there will be times when it feel like getting out of a broken situation is impossible. Sometimes the place you are, even if it is toxic and hurting you every day, can seem like the better place to be when your other option is to jump into the unknown. The enemy you know always seems safer than the enemy you don’t. This mindset will poison you. I mean it. This mindset will keep you from growing when it is time to grow. This mindset will hold you in the pain when you want to break free and move on. This mindset will tell you that you don’t have what it takes to rise to any challenge that comes your way but you do.
Listen to me, life is full of uncertainties. Life is full of facing the unknown, and the fact that you have made it this far and that you are here today is proof enough that you have what it takes to break through the pain and face the unknown. You have done it over and over again in your life. I know you have, because no life is easy and all life is full of challenges. You have faced them before and you can do it again. If you are in a toxic relationship, a toxic environment, or a toxic mindset then maybe it is time to take a leap of faith and trust that you have what it takes to face whatever comes your way. Stop staying in the same place because you feel like a victim of your circumstance. You have the power to fix your situation and make real change for yourself.
It all starts with you.
