Change Your Perspective
I have a message for everyone this pandemic has affected.
The coronavirus is not going to destroy your life. I'm not just talking about physically—the coronavirus also has no power to destroy the mental and emotional aspects of your life. Today's message is about the power of possibility. When worst comes to worst, there's no choice but to step up and fight. Again, I'm not just talking about the physical fight—I'm talking about the spiritual and mental battle. You've got to step up and fight for your life, your peace, and your health. You can't let this thing defeat you, and you can't just sit back and watch your life die before your eyes.
The mind is very powerful, but it can be a powerful force for evil if you allow it to. If you allow worry and doubt and stress to weigh you down, your mind can become your undoing. I have a tattoo that says, "Live for today, because tomorrow has its own troubles." I think that's true, so whoever out there is reading this, I need you to remember that your perspective can be your power or your prison. Your ability to get up time and time again will decide whether you succeed or fail, but you and I both know that failure isn't an option. You can't lose this fight, because it's a fight for your life, and you're not the only one depending on you to succeed.
Is it hard? Absolutely.
Changing your perspective is one of the hardest things anyone can ever do. But at the end of the day, like I said, there is no other option. If you can't get the things you can't control out of your head, you'll lose sight of what you can control, and your spirit will erode as a result. The virus threatens to destroy each of us mentally before it ever touches us physically, but let me be clear—the pandemic isn't going to ruin your life unless you let it. I know that it sucks and we're all going through changes we never wanted to make, but you can still find power and peace in the little things.
Protect your peace. Meditate. Give love instead of doubt and fear. You have to try your best, because when it comes to your life, you're the only one who can fight and win that battle. If you're mortal, you can't afford to lose, because losing means never becoming the person you were meant to be. When worry creeps into your mind and tells you to stop fighting, I need you to show yourself that you are still capable of accomplishing anything. I need you to remember how much you're truly capable of, and the rest will follow.
It all starts with you.
