Stop Saying "Tomorrow"
We live in a world of fear right now.
For a lot of people, including some of the people reading this right now, life feels uncertain. I'm not going to act as though I'm extremely educated on your particular situation, but today's message is about what we can all do to deal with fear.
Fear can either control you, or you can control fear. You can either use fear to take your life to another level, or you can let fear devour you. You can either use fear to build you up into the greatest version of yourself possible, or you can let fear drive you into the ground.
There is one necessary fear that not enough people talk about. There's a very important fear out there that I want everyone reading this to have deep within their hearts.
Above anything else, you should be afraid of dying with your dreams. You should be scared of not becoming the best version of yourself.
Stop being afraid of opinions. Stop being afraid of other people. Stop being afraid of a lack of support, and stop being afraid of failure.
It's easy to say, "Oh, the destination is too far. My dream is unachievably hard."
Let me tell you something—no matter who you are, you have done something you've hated. Most likely, you've also done something you've hated for the wrong reasons.
How many of you work a job that you hate? How many of you have unfulfilling social lives? How many of you keep making excuses and pushing your dreams aside?
Achieving your goals is hard, but so is everything in life. Choose your hard.
When the reward is great enough, the struggle will never be strong enough. People ask me, "Trent, how do you push through? How do you continue to persevere?" My answer to that is simple: The reward I am climbing toward in my own life is so immense that any amount of struggle is worth it. Do I get tired? Absolutely. I go through periods of time where I question my work, and I do that because I'm a human being. However, the reward I'm striving for is great enough that I can always get back to work. No matter how much doubt I have in my heart, the reward is greater.
Let me ask you something—what is something in your own life that makes you feel alive? What is something in your life that you want more than anything else? Getting something incredible out of life is hard, but so is everything else. Like I said, it's time to choose your hard.
It all starts with you.
