Do Harder Things
It's easy to let the people and things we're attached to waste our lives.
Don't put what you know you need to do off until tomorrow. No matter who's reading this, I can promise you that there is only one life to live. Don't waste your time! Don't wait until tomorrow. Every day you give all your energy to things that do nothing but drain you is a day you regress farther from your goals.
Drama is a trap many of us fall into, but you have to have perspective and think about how you'll look back on your life when it's nearly over. Will the drama you give so much attention to now matter when you're on your deathbed? Live a life you're proud of!
Cherish the time you have been given, and cherish the people around you.
There is too much darkness in the world. If everyone consciously chose to be a light in the dark, the world would be a much better place. Rather than giving in to the drama trap, become a source of light and truth. Help others toward their goals instead of putting people down.
It's easy to put others down. It's easy to take advantage of the disadvantage of others. Don't do the easy thing!
At the end of the day, it's crucial to remember that we all have struggles. Will you be the person to help someone fallen stand up, or will you kick them while they're down? We all have the capacity to make gigantic positive changes in this world.
Stay focused on your vision. If you say that you're going to do something, do it! Whether or not you made a list of new year's resolutions, you probably have goals you set out to accomplish then neglected. Be a person of principle, and follow through with your plans!
Change is hard. Forming great habits takes time. I talk a lot about how time is finite and shouldn't be wasted. Trust me when I say that although forming a great habit is not easy or immediately rewarding, it is absolutely a worthy useage of your time.
This world is a dark place, full of people who believe that self-preservation is strength. In my own life, God has made it known to me that pain equals strength. When I thought my life was going nowhere, He was taking me somewhere I never could have predicted going!
Faith is an incremental part of everyone's journey. However, you have to remember that God helps those who help themselves. If you can follow through on your goals by making plans and sticking to them, you will succeed. Beyond having a great relationship with God, it's important to have faith in yourself.
If you say you're going to make a change, do it. Don't put your work off until tomorrow—get it done today, and be better off for it tomorrow, next week, and a month down the road. Work on forming a sturdy foundation for yourself every day you have on this earth.
It all starts with you.
