Don't Give Up
Everyone in the world struggles.
I'm not sure who you are, but if you're reading this, I know that you have struggled as well. Today's message is universal, because hardship in life is inevitable. Some of us might look like we have it better than others on the outside, but we're all fighting internal battles.
Just because your life isn't perfect doesn't mean your life doesn't have a purpose.
Don't let your struggle kill your faith. Don't let your pain define your life. If you can learn to use your trials to get stronger, you'll end up far better than you would have been without them. I understand that whatever you're going through right now might be hard for you. It might even feel impossible. Although I have no way to know what you're going through, I sympathize and emphasize with you. Even though it might seem like your world is ending, I'm here to tell you to push through. There is light at the end of that tunnel, and if you can just keep moving forward, no matter how slowly, you will be able to become the person God meant for you to be.
In my experience, the people who help the most and who show the most love are the ones who have been through the most. Those are the people who understand how difficult life can be, and they're the people determined to make their life and the lives of those around them incredible. The people who have gone through pain but refused to fall victim to it are the people who shine the brightest.
Just because you're broken or hurt doesn't mean you're worthless. In life, we are continually bombarded by the influence of social media. It's easy to compare our lives to people who seem perfect, and it's easy to feel imperfect until we remember that no one is truly perfect. The side those perfect celebrities on social media are showing you is filtered. They're showing you their best you—not their struggles. Don't let that false perception of someone else's fake perfection get to you. Don't feel guilty or less significant.
I always tell people that if it wasn't for my pain, I wouldn't have my strength. If it wasn't for my darkest moments, I wouldn't be able to appreciate the light I've been given. Without hardship, you can never become the person you're meant to be. Be proud of your struggles! The worst parts of your life can turn you into a better person. The hardest parts of life will show you what you're made of. When I see someone with scars, I think of weakness, not strength. I see someone who's been through hardship and survived.
Your scars make you beautiful, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you can learn from your struggle and move forward.
It all starts with you.
