When I look back on my own journey, I feel nothing but gratitude.
People ask me all the time, "How did you get to where you are? How did you get through your hardest times?" My answer to that question is pretty simple—there's one thing that's truly helped me more than anything else, and that was tuning out the noise. Once I stopped listening to the outsiders, the people who thought I was crazy, and the people who didn't want to see me succeed, I realized that anything was possible.
No one thought I would ever be successful as a motivational speaker, and if I'd listened to them, they would have been right.
More than anything else, one thing has consistently helped me progress. By regularly disconnecting from the world, I've been able to find peace. Way back in the past, before I was successful at all as a motivational speaker, I realized that I had to stop letting people put their impossibilities on my life. In life, too many of us allow people to place their fears, doubts, and negativity on our lives. That toxicity comes in many forms—it might be a relationship, it might be from your friends, it might be from strangers, or it could veen be your family. It's time for you to stop letting those people give you all of their negativity, because at the end of the day, you can do anything you think you can do. People will tell you that you'll fail in your relationships, jobs, and in life. Remember, they can only ever be right if you give them permission to be right. In life, none of us are limited, but most of us feel very limited. Why is that? Our perceived limitations come from many places of negativity, which spread like poison to create toxic mindsets and victim mentalities. In reality, each and every person out there reading this is capable of anything.
If you stop pursuing your vision the moment people stop supporting it, you'll never get anywhere. If you let negativity erode your life up until the point that you quit, you're doing nothing but proving the haters right. You're doing nothing but allowing other people's negativity pile up, losing your vision in the process. Let me tell you something—at the end of the day, we're nothing but our wills. If you've got a vision, you need to chase after it. God made you for a unique purpose, so what are you waiting for? It's time for you to understand just how much you're capable of.
It all starts with you.
