How to Find Peace
Disconnect from your worries.
Disconnect from your stress, and connect to peace instead. Connect to your soul, and connect to your focus. Every day, I do my best to create a place of peace for myself. Today, I want to let everyone reading this into my world. I want you to experience what protecting your peace can do for you, because trust me—it does a lot. In my own life, I love hiking. I think it's incredibly important to get out and find some perspective, whether it's an overnight camping trip or a ten minute jog. It's more important than most people understand to unwind, and finding peace looks different for each and every one of us. For some of you, progressing your peace might look like sitting on your porch to read a book. For others, it might be yoga. For still others, it might be hiking, walking around the block, or riding your bike.
No matter how you find peace, you need to do it every single day.
Everyone has time to create peace. No matter how busy you are, you can afford to turn off your phone and disconnect for at least five minutes. If you can do that for an hour, even better. If you can go out into nature and truly get away from the world, you'll be able to release emotional weight you didn't even know you had. One of the reasons I love hiking so much is because it makes me feel as though nothing exists. For forty-five minutes or an hour, nothing exists but the trail. I think all of us need a little bit more of that in our lives—spending time with ourselves and God is the best way to disconnect, and it has profound benefits on mental health.
It's time for you to cleanse your body, mind, and soul. It's time to protect your peace, whatever doing that looks like for you. Let me ask you something—when is the last time you felt truly grateful? When is the last time you felt truly thankful for your life? When is the last time you truly understood how blessed you are? I want to encourage everyone reading this to get out of the house and disconnect a little bit. No one is going to find peace for you, and disconnecting will take work. That being said, I promise you that it will be worth it. However you find peace, I swear it won't be a waste of time. If you can get away from the world for just a little bit, you'll open up an entirely new life for yourself, wherein anything is possible.
It all starts with you.
