Ignore the Haters
We are now approaching the new year and it is important to think about the things that you are going to stop allowing in your life. So with this new year approaching, we need to decide that this will be the year that we stop allowing people to control us and our lives who do not even like us. We need to stop giving people permission to control our lives who do so little for us and hate on us. Far too often, so many of us allow people to stop or pause our greatness because we are so afraid of being judged. Like I always tell people, I say “Don’t you know you are going to be judged anyway? Don’t you know somebody will talk about you anyway?” Don’t you know that no matter what you do there will always be haters that tell you that you are doing it wrong?” If people are going to judge you anyway then why don’t you just do what you think is right and ignore what the haters are going to say. People are always going to judge you and talk about what you are doing wrong. Stop listening to them.
Most of the people hating on you are just projecting onto you the hate and the contempt they have for themselves. You see, when you start to pick yourself up and do better, then you will see two different kinds of reactions to your sudden change in attitude. There will always be the people that love what you are doing and even get inspired to do better things for themselves in their own lives because of the improvements that you have made. Then there will also always be the people who look at what you do as a big glaring example of what they are not doing in their lives for themselves, but they are too lazy to change it. It is a lot easier to knock you down to their level by hating on you until you feel like quitting than it is for them to get up and get all of their stuff together to follow your example and improve their lives. So they choose to hate instead of work hard, but if you follow that story then you can see that the hate they are showing for you is really just them reflecting the fact that they wish they could be better, only they are not willing to put in the work.
Somebody somewhere sometime is always going to have a problem with you. The thing is, we live our lives expecting everybody to like us. This is the first problem right here. We assume that because somebody doesn’t like us that we must have done something wrong, but that is not always the case. A lot of times people are hating just to hate, and all we can do is ignore them.
It all starts with you.
