Time waits for no one.
This is a fact we aren't always fully conscious of. The other day, I was watching the sunset. I said to myself, "man, this sunset is only going to be around for two minutes." Some of the most beautiful things in life are gone in an instant. After seeing that gorgeous sunset appear and disappear, I remembered how transient this life is.
Are you fully content with your life? Have you accomplished everything you set out to do? Are you finished building the legacy you'll pass on to those you love?
You should have answered "no" to at least a couple of those questions. Most people realize that they aren't fully content, and realize they have much more to accomplish. Most people also understand that their time on earth is finite.
You know you're not getting any younger. Don't wait until tomorrow to live a beautiful life! It's easy to wait for opportunities, moments, and chances. It's easy to say "tomorrow," or "next week," or "next month," or "next year."
There is no 'next life'—the one you're experiencing now is the only one there is.
Don't procrastinate! Living a truly beautiful existence is rare, because it's not easy! It requires true patience. Patience is working hard every single day, putting in work continuously even when your return on that investment seems delayed. Patient people understand that nothing happens overnight.
Patience is hard. Patience requires so much sacrifice and pain that it almost feels masochistic. Patience is loyalty to your vision, even when that vision doesn't seem like it's being loyal to you. It can be difficult to go on sometimes, but I promise you that if you push through, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. God made you for a reason, and that light at the end of the tunnel will be a light brighter than you've ever seen.
How do you make it there? Give your pain a purpose.
Give your pain a reason to fight. Give your pain a reason to push forward. How do you stay inspired? Remind yourself why you started. Remind yourself what you set out to do. Stay loyal to your vision!
Focus on impact—not numbers. Focus on doing good in this world, and focus on building something unique and beautiful out of your life. If you stay loyal to your vision, all of the pain and sacrifice you've invested will be worth it.
God will bless your life in ways you can't predict. You will be blessed in ways you never could have imagined when you started, and you will find friends in people you didn't know before you set out on your journey. Stay true to your vision, and be patient!
It all starts with you.
