Today's message might seem a little bit insensitive at first, but I promise it comes straight from the heart.
I truly care about creating change within the lives of every soul my content reaches, which is why I refuse to ever say anything but the truth, even when that truth is tough to swallow. With that being said, today's message is simple.
Life has no sympathy for you.
Life has no sympathy for your dreams, and the hard times never truly end. Far too often, we abandon our goals due to unforeseen circumstances. Once a difficult season arrives, it's easy to downsize one's dreams to a capacity that seems more manageable. Listen—don't throw in the towel. When life throws its worst at you, you have to keep putting in your best. Life will bring you waves of pain, but guess what? You have to keep swimming. You have to put in a hundred and ten percent, because even your best won't be enough to keep you afloat. Let me ask you a question: are you sticking to the right course? Because I'll be honest with you—I'm tired of seeing people quit. I'm tired of watching people talk about everything they want out of life only to do nothing about it. I'm tired of seeing people living lives of dissatisfaction, and I'm tired of watching dreams die.
Be a winner. The punches are going to keep on coming, but you have to find the perseverance to stand back up regardless. Instead of turning your back on the promises you've made, you need to work toward your vision. Listen—I get it. I know that sticking to goals is difficult. Inspiration and motivation burn out quickly, so if there isn't adequate discipline, reaching any goal is impossible. If you quit the moment you and your vision leave the honeymoon stage, you'll have done nothing but waste your time and energy. If you quit the moment things get too difficult, I have news for you—your disappointment is on you. Your lack of fulfillment is on you.
Your failures aren't permanent unless you give them permission to be, so stop giving up. It's time for you to start truly showing up for yourself. It's time to become your own support system, and it's time for you to live your life for yourself. You might be thinking to yourself, "Trent, how am I ever going to be enough? Look at my circumstances, and look at how badly I'm doing." Let me tell you something—failure is feedback. Every time you lose, you have the option of increasing your winning chances. Every time you fail, you have the chance to learn.
It all starts with you.
