Hey listen, I’m going to be real with you- some people never move on with their life because they are stuck waiting for closure. They’re stuck trying to find understanding. They’re stuck waiting for an apology that will never come or for reasons. Let me tell you something - when you understand the facts that this situation isn't right for your life or that this shouldn’t be a part of your future, that’s all the closure that you need.
You don’t need closure to close a chapter. Sometimes the only closure that you need is understanding that your life deserves better. So let me ask you this- what are you waiting on? What are you waiting for when you close that chapter? Because what you might be waiting on might never show up. That person may never apologize. You might not ever understand why they did what they did. You might never understand why that situation didn’t work out but I can promise you that you’ll never understand it by standing in the same place.
As you start to move on and grow your life, you’ll start to realize that some relationships didn’t work out so that others could. Maybe you had to lose something to gain others. It was really protective when you thought it was problematic. You have to move on with your life to understand why some chapters had to end. It will make sense to you as you start to focus on yourself and your future. If you stay stuck where you are at then you will not find understanding. I Know that it is easier said than done but it must be done. When you focus on what you are moving to instead of what you are moving from then moving on becomes a lot easier. All you need to focus on is becoming a better YOU. The more authentic you are, the more authentic your connections will be. The more authentic your connections are, the safer and richer your life will feel. You have to go through hard times first to understand the blessings of the good times. I know that is tough, but it’s facts.
Focus on your healing and stop focusing on them/it. Your healing isn’t about them, it’s only about you. So if you are looking for closure- let the fact that you deserve better be your closure.
