Everyone goes through hard times.
People struggle through the seasons all the time. Some of you reading this feel as though every step you take is full of pain, and your seasons are full of setback. Some of you reading this might not think life is fair. You might be asking questions like, "Lord, what do I do in times like this? Who do I call in?"
I'm going to be real with you. I learned a long time ago that it's not our job to understand what God is doing. Our job is a lot simpler. We just have to trust the plan that God has for our life even when it doesn't make complete sense to us.
In life, you are going to go through seasons that don't make sense to you. If you're in one of those seasons right now, I need you to know something important:
You're going to get through.
Even though not everything makes sense right now, it will later. One thing I've learned over the years is that our setbacks and trials often bring us to incredible places we never could have predicted arriving at.
This world is full of strong people. People tend to think of strength the wrong way—in my opinion, the strongest people are the ones who are fighting secret battles within themselves but lie that they're doing fine. Sometimes, strength looks like knowing you're not okay but saying that you are. Strength looks like crying your way through the day, but still making it through. Sometimes strength is struggle.
Strength is about pushing through, and having faith no matter what. You are going to endure a lot of difficult things in life, but trust me when I say that you can always progress. You are going to endure those nights of pain, and it's going to be worth it! Joy comes in the morning, and it might not be tomorrow morning or a morning next week, but joy will come. Keep your head up, and the sun will rise again.
Strength isn't about having it all figured out, or knowing exactly how to act in every situation. Sometimes strength is just about enduring the season.
God has left something inside each of us that cannot be imitated or broken. You have a strength unique to yourself, so keep struggling through. Keep pushing yourself onward. Climb up that mountain even when you have to crawl. As long as you keep on keeping on, the sun will rise for you and you will have a breakthrough.
It all starts with you.
