Day 2: Protect Your Peace Day
Welcome to day 2 fam! Today is all about protecting your peace. My personal mantra always brings me back to my center.
Our mental health is the most sacred thing we have. Never allow anyone or anything to shake your internal peace. It is our responsibility to protect it at all costs. Because the second I allow anything or anyone to break through that forcefield, it can rob you of your potential and your happiness.
Today is about designing a daily routine built around protecting your peace. It doesn't have to be complicated. It doesn't have to be long. In fact, it can be as short as 5-15 minutes. The only requirement is that you are completely present in the moment.
Take some time by yourself and fill it up with gratitude. Develop a sacred ritual of isolation and appreciation. As the old adage goes, "To live a greater life, you just need to be more grateful."
At times, life can be a beautiful disaster. We just need to search for all the gems of glory that can be found in the debris of our sorrow. We can turn that pain into power. Protecting our peace on a consistent peace will remind us of that crucial reminder.
Here are some simple ways we can protect our peace. I put some personal favorites of mine as a guideline for you.
- Watching the sunset with my personal protect your peace playlist (combo of instrumentals and Christian music.)
- Walking meditation (A peaceful walk focusing on all the sounds around me. Being completely aware of all my surroundings.)
- Journaling (Writing down what I need to let go of. This simple cue helps me rid myself of any resentment and heavy burden.)
Creating a routine of protecting your peace is a way of getting clarity on what loving yourself really means. Defining what really matters in your life. Making sure you are really creating the life you want for yourself. Challenging yourself to change the things you know you aren't happy with.
After all, "Nothing changes, if nothing changes."
It's time to be present. It's time to live in gratitude. It's time to protect our peace.
Feel good about this one, it might be the biggest key to living a life of presence and power, instead of a life of pity and pain.
But remember, It all starts with you.
