Stop Beating Yourself Up
A lot of us are fighting deep personal battles.
For many of the people reading this and many people who live on planet Earth, life is truly difficult. Many of you are going through depression and stress, and I'll be the first to tell you that your feelings are valid. I've been there before, and let me tell you something—it's okay to not feel okay. It's okay to feel broken, and it's okay to feel hurt.
Sometimes, it takes things falling apart for better things to come together. I know that sentiment is often hard to understand—no one sees the value of a storm when the storm is raging over their front porch. However, once the storm passes, flowers are allowed to bloom. If you're going through a personal storm, I want to remind you of something extremely important: your life isn't over.
This is a setback—not the end of the world. I'll be honest with you—things suck right now. I know things aren't the greatest, but you've got to understand the control you have over this situation. You have the power to get over this setback and make a giant comeback. You have the ability to cultivate strength even though you're in pain, and you have the chance to learn even when you feel as though you've done nothing but fail.
In the moment, it's truly difficult to understand how roadblocks and setbacks will get you any closer to your destination.
I know how it feels—you might be fighting a silent battle, praying every day for a breakthrough. You might feel as though nothing positive has come through for you, and that's something that hurts! When you're working hard for your dreams and those dreams don't seem to be coming to fruition, it's hard to stay faithful. It's hard to keep going.
If you're going through something like what I'm describing, I have something important to tell you. If you feel like you've been fighting a silent battle and you haven't gotten any closer to winning, this message is for you.
You're one choice away from something better, so give tomorrow a chance.
Keep your head up, because tomorrow, a change in your perspective might end up finding you the opportunity you've been waiting for. Your perspective can either be your power or your pain, which is why it's so important to stay positive no matter what.
Use this pain to build your testimony, and use your setbacks to create comebacks. There's more to life than just this chapter, and there are incredible things setting themselves up for your future. Be patient, and stay positive.
It all starts with you.
