Stop Taking the Easy Path
I know that this message isn’t for everyone. If you follow my page because you want me to make you feel better about your life - unfollow my page. I am not a speaker, motivator and coach that just wants you to feel good about doing nothing with your life, I want you to live your best life. Why? Because it’s freaking available to you. I want you to get into the mindset where you enjoy your life no matter what’s going on in your life. I want you to go out and protect your peace.
If you have been watching my content for several years and see how I am always in nature but you haven’t gone out and done it for yourself then what are you doing? Why wouldn't you go try it? There are things that I know work, and protecting your peace in nature works. I have never met a bad attitude on the trail, never met a person who regretted taking a walk in nature.
Too many of us want to be motivated, they want moments of inspiration. But the truth of life is that sometimes it doesn’t feel good. Like today, I didn’t feel good. I didn’t want to but I did it anyway. I got up and worked out and protected my peace out on the trail. Why? Not because I am a superhero, because I have mental toughness. Because I have trained myself to know what I want to feel and taught myself how to get it. I didn’t feel good, but I wanted to feel good so I got my butt up and started moving. Now I feel good. It wasn’t easy, it never is but that’s what makes you mentally tough, knowing what is best for you and doing it even when you don’t feel like it.
I want you to be future focused but I’m not even talking about a year from now, or a month or a week- I’m talking about two hours from now. In two hours are you going to be happy that you made the choices that you made? In two hours will you be better off for taking the easy way or worse off? The reason that I put myself in these situations is not because I want to be the most fit person in the room, it’s because my battle and yours is an internal battle. I know that when I put myself in hard situations and conquer them, it will give me the confidence and strength that I need to be able to properly handle my life. If you become more comfortable with discomfort and practice that ability then when things get very hard, you know you have what it takes to overcome it. Because you’ve been practicing. Nothing good comes from taking the easy road. Choose the hard road, and see where it takes you.
It all starts with you.
