Don't waste your life.
One thing that I can guarantee to anyone reading this is that you only have one life to live. It's easy to waste that life on things that drain us—it's easy to give all our energy to things that do nothing but stress us out.
Although it's easier said than done, you owe it to yourself to wake up and stop giving your attention to pain. Stop giving your attention to drama, to negativity, or anything that isn't helping you move forward. If you're serious about progression, your vision is the only thing that can matter.
You have to realize that your time here is limited. You don't have all day to accomplish what you need to get accomplish, and you aren't getting any younger. Time is something that is never guaranteed, so cherish the now! Treasure the time you have been given, and take advantage of everything available to you. You won't always have this much time, or this much energy. If you're truly committed to your goals, you will realize this and use a hundred percent of yourself to accomplish your goals while you still can!
It's easy to romanticize your vision.
It's easy to say, "I'm going to run five miles a day until the day I die." What's hard is staying loyal to your goals. What's hard is waking up every day to focus on your vision.
Stop playing with your life! It was given to you for a purpose. Stop wasting your time and energy, and start using your time and energy as investments toward your goals. Don't do anything to satisfy other people—any goal toward that end will not last long. Instead, shut out the drama and invest in your future.
Instead of wasting your time on other people, focus on yourself.
If you aren't focusing on yourself, you aren't serious about making anything happen in your life. If you aren't fully focused on yourself, you can't expect respect from others.
Let me ask you something: Do you respect yourself?
Are you protecting your peace, or giving into gossip? Ignore the drama—every minute you waste worrying about other peoples' perception of you is a moment away from your goals.
If people are talking bad about you, let them talk! The people who like tearing others down aren't usually doing much themselves. The people hating on the paths of others aren't doing much with their own lives. The people who like to see others fail have given up on themselves. The biggest takeaway from today's message? Shut out the noise and focus on yourself.
It all starts with you.
