Stop Wasting Your Life
One of my greatest fears is coming to the end of my life and realizing that I have been wasting my life away. Some of you out there need to hear this message more than others but it applies to all of us. Maybe it's a relationship that you have spent more time in than you knew you should, a friendship that has been holding you back for years. Maybe you always dreamed of quitting that job and following your passion but never got around to it. Whatever it is that is holding you back, now is the time to make that change. Now is the time to take control of your life and alter your mindset from one of waiting to one of creating.
This is your life and you only get the one. Are you going to let the opinions of others stop you from making the choices that you know to be the right ones? All of us have setbacks, all of us have trauma. I’m not saying that it’s easy but I am saying that you are strong enough to live above what you’ve been through. You are strong enough to press on even past the darkest things you’ve experienced.
How many years have you set a new year’s resolution that faded out within the first month? If you don’t start committing to the change you need in your life then 2022 will look the same as 2021. 2021 will look the same as 2020 and so on. One day, you’ll look back and ask why you never made the change that you are capable of making anytime. Why you never went after the passion you had, or boldly stepped out of one relationship and into the next era of your life. Don’t spend your whole life waiting for something to happen.
For some people, it’s a matter of not having enough respect for themselves to create a better life. They expect someone else to come into their life and complete them, but the truth is this- no one can do the work set out for you. You cannot rely on outside sources for your inner growth and value. It’s yours and yours alone. When you don’t have enough respect for who you are then you find yourself stuck in the same cycles of disrespect. You find yourself allowing toxic people in your life. You find yourself settling for less than you were made for. Never settle.
Too many people are content with staying stuck. Too many people would rather stay in their comfort zone that leads to a more comfortable life than go outside of their comfort zone which leads to a more comfortable life. You need to recognize and remind yourself daily that you are in control of your life. You are not a witness to the events of your life, you are the driver. If you find yourself in the wrong part of the world, turn your car around. Stop wasting your life.
It all starts with you.
