Tell Yourself "I Am Healed"
I want you to spend time with yourself today and work on your breathing. Focus on your breathing and tell yourself the following words over and over- “I am healed, I am free, I am at peace. I am healed, I am free, I am at peace.” I’m no breath coach or yogi, but I believe in fixing your inner world. So many of us in times of stress will look to an outside source for comfort when it's the inside that needs healing. Some of you are waiting on an apology from somebody that will never give it to you. You can’t wait for external sources to bring you comfort. Give your heart to God and not back to the hands that broke it. Hello! I’m going to say that again, “Give your heart to God and not back to the hands that broke it.”
The truth is that you are going to face hardship. You are going to face trials again and again. It’s part of life. You don't have any control over what it is that brought you to where you are now but you are the only one in control from here on out. It’s your responsibility to heal yourself. And some of us can’t do it alone. But you’re not alone. Give your heart to God. Stop giving your heart back to the environment that broke it. Some of us spend our whole life chasing after something that God never intended for our life. We allow our vulnerability or the voids in our life to put us in situations, and when your life is run by those kinds of decisions what ends up happening is that we tend to settle for something less than you deserve. Because you fall for that and put yourself in situations that weren't meant to heal your heart and so it breaks your heart even more.
I can’t allow you to go through your life thinking that you don’t have power, that you don’t have control of your circumstances and your decisions. I can’t allow you to go through this life and think you don’t have a purpose so you settle for second best. I pray that you remove all these things that prevent you from viewing yourself for who you really are. I pray that you stop disqualifying yourself because of one season of your life. I pray you stop giving yourself the death sentence. In the same way that you give these era’s power over your life, you also have the power to give yourself the life that you were meant for.
Your circumstances have nothing to do with your greatness. If God wanted perfection, he would have made this world perfect. It’s not. It’s messy and not always clear. But you are the only one who can make sense of it. Focus on the things that you do have control over. It’s rehab time, let’s get it.
It all starts with you.
