Turn Your Pain Into Power
I just want to encourage somebody out there in the world this morning as I write this. There are a lot of things out there in this world that do not serve you, things that hurt you, things that are not good for you. I want to be clear with that, but there are also things in your life that are good for you that are going to help you grow. That could be your relationship, that could be your vision for the future, that could be the goals you set for yourself, or your health. You know, so many people are going through hard times right now, and trust me I get it. When you are going through these hard times, these trials and tribulations, the easiest thing to do seems like it would be to give up. Sometimes it does not seem like anything is going to get better. Sometimes it does not seem like tomorrow is going to bring anything different, but you can’t think like that.
There is something that has helped me that I would like to share with you guys today. I know it seems simple, but it is powerful. I always tell you guys to control your perspective, and one thing that I have learned in my life is when things used to go wrong I would always ask questions like “why me,” or “why is this happening to me at this point in my life,” and I would feel like I was the victim in the situation, but I have changed my mindset towards that. I have totally changed my perspective on the bad things that happen in my life. I have taken a whole new look at the bad things and instead of asking why something happened to me as if I am the victim, I now ask myself, “How can this strengthen me?” I have begun to flip the bad things that happen in my life into the fuel that helps me to get farther in my life.
The thing is that going forward or going backwards in your life is all about the perspective that you have on the things that are happening to you at the moment. You have to stop thinking about life as something that is happening to you as if you are the victim and you have to start believing that life is happening for you. The bad things in your life are there for a reason. They can be the thing that brings you down, or the reason you have to be strong. The bad things in your life can be a token instead of a scar. They can be the proof that you have that you can handle some of the worst crap out there. Instead of thinking of where life has taken you as a victim, look at all you have been able to withstand and come out alive on the other side. You are truly amazing to have gotten through everything you have and made it this far. Let that be the fuel that takes you farther.
It all starts with you.
