What Are You Holding On To?
There is something I want to ask you guys today that I have definitely touched on before. The reason I am revisiting it is because this is something that you should be reevaluating and reassessing all of the time, consistently. The question is this: What are you currently holding onto in your life that you know you need to let go of? This is something I ask myself weekly, and sometimes even daily because I know that I will continue to grab onto things and not let go in my life.
Now this thing that you are holding onto in your life could be anything. It could be a relationship thing, it could be something that you fear, it could be something any number of things, but odds are that you are holding onto something that is hurting you or holding you back in your life. There is something in your life that you are holding onto that is keeping you from growing and going to the next level spiritually, mentally, or even physically because you just won’t let go of it. The thing is, until you let go of that dead weight then you are just going to go through the same daily routine day in and day out. You will be making the same choices and you will continue to feel off about everything and complain about your circumstances even though you have the power to change them. So what is it?
Now I am probably not asking you a question that you have never asked yourself. You have probably thought about this in the past that maybe you were holding onto something you shouldn’t or maybe you think about it all of the time. But here is the thing, it is time for you to stop just asking yourself the question, and it is time for you to actually make a change. It is time for you to let go of whatever it is that is holding you back. Now do not get me wrong, I understand letting go of things in your life is hard. I have had an extreme amount of trouble letting things go in my past but when I knew it was best for me and I let it go things in my life started improving.
I understand that all of this is easier said than done and I can sit here and tell you what you need to do to be and feel better, but honestly until you decide that you want to make a real change in your life you are going to feel the same way every day. You are going to continue to follow the same patterns and same mistakes day to day. When you decide you really want to change then you have to be willing to let go of whatever it is that is keeping you from being what you want to be. If there is something or someone in your life that is keeping you from being the best version of yourself that you possibly can be then maybe it is time to let go of them and work towards a better you. Take what is holding you back and decide to let it go.
