Why You Can't Stop Fighting
I'm about to fight.
I say that with certainty, because all my life has been a fight. I've fought in the past, I'm fighting now, in the present, and I know for a fact that I'll keep fighting in the future. I'm going go be honest with you—this mindset is going to change your life. Realizing that you have to fight is going to change your life for the better, and it's going to be the difference between truly living your life and watching from the sidelines as it passes you by.
We're all fighting our own battles.
We all fight for different reasons, but at the end of the day, we're all fighting. Unfortunately, some of us are fighting the wrong battles. Some of us are fighting for the wrong reasons. We're fighting for someone else's dream instead of our own. We're fighting for the loyalty of people who don't deserve us rather than being loyal to our visions. Every day, we fight battles that seem impossible to win, and in some cases, they truly are impossible. In some cases, we really are wasting our energy, because not every battle is meant for us.
Whoever out there is reading this right now, I know that you have goals. I kno that you hav dreams. i know that you want something out of this life. How do I know that? Because if you're reading this, you're human, and if you're human, you want to live a life you can feel satisfied about. Stop fighting the battles that aren't meant for you. Like anyone else, you have things you want. And, like anyone else, there are things in your way that will stop you from getting those things if you let them.
Fight for the things that matter. Stop complaining about your situation. Stop fighting what you can't change. Instead, focus on what you have real control over. Fight for your health. Fight for your kids. Fight for your friends. Fight for the world! Instead of neglecting your passions and values, fight the right battles.
I'd like to close today's message with a question.
What are you fighting for?
What are you putting your energy toward? There's a battle in your life, and that battle is between you and your past. Your battle is between your future and the expectations of those who'd love to see you fail. Today, I want you to think about what you're fighting for, and why you're doing it. I want you to think about the things that make you stronger, better, and kinder. I want you to think about those things, and then I want you to fight for them. At the end of the day, the world will be better off for your self-love.
It all starts with you.
