You Need to Stop Quitting
What if you stopped quitting? Just think about that. Now I know there is a difference between quitting and being smart enough to walk away sometimes. Let's not get that mixed up. I know way too many people in my life that have quit and walked away from relationships or from jobs that they know they should have worked harder on. I know people who have been torn up because they quit on goals that they set for themselves that were really important to them in their life.
Here is the biggest problem with quitting -- when you quit on a goal or a lifestyle that you wanted for yourself then you start to believe that you just don't have it in you to have what you want. You start to settle for less in other places in your life. You start to believe that you are worth less than what you really are. Quitting leads to downfall, settling, and eventually depression. Depression causes so much unnecessary suffering in your life and I promise you you do not want that. Too much needless suffering can really be deadly because it can lead to suicide. It can lead to you just not wanting to live the life you are living anymore. This may sound dramatic but I promise you that this happens all of the time. It all starts with quitting and then getting in your head that there is no other way out because when you tried to be better you ended up quitting.
So here is my challenge to you: Stop quitting on things that you know will improve your life to keep trying. When things get hard you have got to start pushing yourself harder. Rise to the challenge. I am sure you have heard the phrase that the people who lose aren't losers. It's the people who quit who are the real losers. Because if you just lose, you still have the option to get back up, think of a new approach, and try again. When you decide to quit then you have decided it is over for good and you have permanently lost. But here is the cool thing about quitting. If you are still breathing and your heart is still beating then you haven't really quit, because you always have the option to get back in the game and start over. Even if you quit years and years ago, you still have the option to get back up and try again. Just imagine how different things would be in your life if you never let the challenge get you down? What if you conquered every problem that came your way? What if you stopped questioning yourself and quitting once and for all?
It all starts with a faith in yourself in the long run. You have to believe that you deserve better and you have to believe that you actually have it in you to be better and to get what you want from whatever you are trying to achieve. Start believing in yourself, and stop quitting.
It all starts with you.
