
I want you to think about this today - who can add a single hour to their life with worry? I know it’s easier said than done but you have to stop worrying about the things in your life that are out of your control. When you find yourself lost in your head and stressing about all the things in your life and how they can go wrong, that’s when you need to go out and connect with yourself. Protect your peace.
There is so much to be thankful for that we take for granted ever single day. Think about the sunsets that you’ve seen. You didn’t have to see them, but you did. Your breath in your body is the biggest blessing you have, because without it you wouldn’t have anything. I want you to practice being thankful today. Practice being grateful. For every little thing that you can think of.
What is it that you are needing to let go of today? Maybe it’s something with your job. Maybe it’s something with your friends or your spouse. Too often we let the pain of today be the stresses of tomorrow. Even though you can’t see what is going on in your life, you have to trust that it is what is best for your life. You need to operate in the faith that all things in your life are there for a reason. So say thank you. Learn to be thankful in the times that you don’t feel thankful for anything.
The truth is that you will never be able to see around the corner. These “bad things” in your life might actually be the best thing that has ever happened to you. The truth is that you never know. So you have a choice, you can fear the future and pretend that you know what’s around that corner or you can assume that what’s around that corner is what God has planned for your life. I know it’s hard. That’s why it's called faith.
My hope for you is that your heart becomes flooded with peace. Even in the things that you can't understand. Even in the things that make no sense. I pray that your mind is flooded with a calm that lets you know that everything is going to be okay. Because I promise that it will be. What I have learned about freedom is that it’s a choice. You have to choose that you are worthy of freedom. I know that it is hard to do that when you are judging your life by external things. You might think that your situation is different, but I’m here to tell you that I may not know the details of your life but I don’t have to. I know you are worthy of freedom. Freedom from your stress. Freedom from your anxiety and doubt. Take a moment to be grateful today for your breath.
